Matthew V. Ferdon is the principal in the Law Office of Matthew V. Ferdon, PLLC. Mathew practices in the areas of Estate & Medicaid Planning, Elder Law, Asset Protection, Trust & Estate Administration, Residential Real Estate, Business Succession and Corporate Services. Matthew is admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Elder Law and Estate Planning, Surrogate’s Court and Real Property Committees.
Mr. Ferdon received his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Journal of International Business and Law and as Vice President of the Hofstra Business Law Society. As an undergraduate, he received a dual degree in Political Science and History from the State University of New York at Albany.
Prior to founding his own firm, Matthew worked in several law offices, both large and small, but always with an eye toward providing his clients with the highest level of service. In addition to his experience in the private sector, Mr. Ferdon served as a legislative aide for a prominent member of the New York State Assembly before attending law school.
Matthew is a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and was a Champion fundraiser for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in 2017. He married his wife, Shemeka, in 2019, and their son, Weston, was born in 2021. Matthew is an avid boater and fisherman, exploring all of the waterways that Long Island has to offer.
